Sony Sucks

CD compatibility. If I buy a CD, I think it ought to work on any CD device. But apparently a CD is not always a CD. Sony has implemented an anti-piracy strategy that severely cripples legitimate owners of CD's from actually using their purchase. That's just wrong.

When you buy a CD make sure it actually says it is a true CD disc. If it doesn't carry one of the compact disc logos then it may not work.

As usual these companies react to criminals and only end up punishing the average legitimate consumer. These companies never seem to learn from past mistakes. The criminals will always stay ahead of ANYTHING you can throw at them. It's their business to do so. It shouldn't be record company business to mess with my legitimate purchase.

Geriatric Gaming

My future.

The article raises a good point. Gaming gives you a lot of value (usually) for your entertainment dollar. If the average game gives you 20 hours of play time, and you spend $60(CDN) on it, you are looking at a $3 an hour entertainment value. Compare that to a movie , sporting event, or whatever your paid pleasure happens to be and I think you will be hard pressed to find better value.
